Interpreting
A real example: three employees who all spoke English came on a business trip, yet each of them had understood the meetings differently, and writing the report turned into an argument. When explanations run in English, or when the pressure rises over the details of a contract, the words get across but the underlying understanding often doesn't. I have seen this many times. As the interpreter, and with your permission, I ask the extra question that brings understanding as close to 100% as possible. If the atmosphere turns tense, I steer the conversation to another topic so the meeting still ends on good terms.

Questions
- Do you interpret on site or online?
- Both. On site in The Hague and elsewhere in the Netherlands and Europe, or online through the video platform you use.
- What if the two sides see things very differently?
- Being Japanese myself, I have experienced these differences many times. I adapt how things are said so that both sides keep a good atmosphere and the conversation stays constructive.
- How far in advance should I book?
- Ideally 2–3 weeks ahead, earlier for visits of several days. Ask me even if the meeting is soon; I will tell you straight away whether I am available.
- Are travel costs included?
- Within The Hague, yes. For other locations I include travel in the quote.
