Business support

Many Japanese companies expect a European company to respond the way a Japanese company would. It rarely does. I have worked on both sides: I built a Tokyo import company that signed with Japan’s major department stores, and I now accompany Japanese companies to their meetings with European firms. If something looks difficult, I tell you honestly at the start. Then we prepare properly.

Questions

What does a typical project look like?
A few preparation sessions before the visit, attending the meetings themselves, and follow-up afterwards. We agree the scope together after the first conversation.
Can this be combined with interpreting?
Yes, and most clients do. Where possible I also help you say the most important things yourself: an agreement built on direct contact lasts longer.
